I have worked with tourists from Europe, South America, and the USA. I am originally from Costa Rica, where I was in the tourism business for ten years, helping tourists find accomodations, home stays, and restaurant services.
After moving to the United States twenty years ago, I began working for the United States Government, in different capacities. I have worked in shelters for abused children; in the Public Health Department teaching young
mothers how to take care of their babies; at County Medical Services helping the homeless and low-income clients to receive medical care for their emergency hospital visits. I am currently helping Senior citizens to stay in their homes and not go into Nursing Homes.
I have also been a host mother for the past ten years: In 1998 I became involved with the San Diego State University Homestay Program. I am helping to place students in homes throughout San Diego County.
I also have had students from many different countries staying at my house, and we have had a lot of fun together!
